Presence of God is a term used in Catholic theology and devotion. In theology , it refers to the belief that God is present by His Essence everywhere and in all things by reason of His Immensity. Furthermore, it also refers to the belief that God is in a special manner really and substantially present in the souls of the just. In Catholic devotions devotion , to put oneself in the presence of God, or to live in the presence of God, as spiritual writers express it, means to become actually conscious of God as present, or at least so to live as though thus actually conscious. Also, the devout soul may be mindful of His Presence in another way, namely, by the exercise of reason directed by faith. He sees God in the earth, the sea, the air and in all things in heaven where He manifests His Glory, in hell where He carries out the law of His Justice. A writer particularly associated with this devotion is Brother Lawrence , the author of The Practice of the Presence of God . In one account she is Samael s counterpart and a mother of demons. In another she is seen seducing the fallen angel s as Naamah the angels Azza and Azazael after they challenge the Shekhinah the feminine dwelling presence of God over the creation of man. This is alluded in the Zohar book 1 19a b, 23a b, 27a b respectively. When Lilith and Naamah another aspect of Lilith were with Adam in his 130 year separation from Adam and Eve Eve after the fall, they had daughters born from their union. These were the nashiym, the lilim, the liloth spirits who were the ones who seduced the Watchers. These daughters along with Lilith and Naamah are restored to Adam through the Wisdom of Solomon, the aspect of the Shekhinah, referred to as the two prostitutes and the Nashiym in chapters 4 and 5 in the book . ref According to commentaries found in the Zohar volume 5 the sifri Di Tsri nita section of the Pritzker edition translated by Daniel C. Image LoisIRoden.jpg right framed Lois Roden Lois Irene Scott Roden 1905 1986 was a president of the Branch Davidian Branch Davidian Seventh day Adventist Church , an apocalyptic Christian sect which her husband, Benjamin Roden founded. The sect began in Texas in 1955 as a succession to the Shepherd s Rod movement led by Victor Houteff Victor T. Houteff , itself a secession from the Seventh day Adventist Church . Contemporaneous with the Feminist Movement surge of the 1970s and corresponding with the egalitarian teachings of many Adventist sects , Roden asserted that women, like men, were made in the image and likeness of God , and that they thereby hold a position of co dominion with man in all things. She openly shared this concept with the members of her sect since 1973, despite some resistance within the sect. In 1977, a year before Benjamin Roden died, Lois said she had received a vision of the person of the Holy Spirit symbolized as a feminine shimmering silvery Angel. She asserted as proof her ideas that the Hebrew word for Spirit ruach is feminine, and that Jew s regard the concept of Holy Spirit and the Divine Presence shekhinah ...both of which are grammatical gender feminine words in Hebrew language Hebrew are one and the same. From 1977 until the death of her husband Benjamin in 1978, she was co president of the Branch Davidian Seventh day Adventist Church along with him. When Benjamin Roden died, Lois remained as the sole lawful president until her death in 1986. Early in her presidency her leadership was challenged by her son, George Roden , and later in late 1983 by David Koresh Vernon Howell a.k.a. David Koresh . It sits at the bottom of the Tree, below Yesod . This sephirah has as a symbol the Bride which relates to the sphere of Tipheret, symbolized by the Bridegroom. Unlike the other nine sephirot, it is an attribute of God which does not emanate from God directly. Rather it emanates from God s creation when that creation reflects and evinces God s glory from within itself. ref http www.aish.com spirituality kabbala101 Kabbalah 23 Malchut The Kingdom Within.asp Shimon Leiberman, Malchut The Kingdom Within ref Hermetic and Christian Kabbalah Malkuth means Kingdom. It is associated with the realm of matter earth and relates to the physical world, the planets and the solar system. It is important not to think of this sephirah as merely unspiritual, for even though it is the emanation furthest from the divine source, it is still on the Tree of Life. As the receiving sphere of all the other sephirot above it, Malkuth gives tangible form to the other emanations. It is like the negative node of an electrical circuit. The divine energy comes down and finds its expression in this plane, and our purpose as human beings is to bring that energy back around the circuit again and up the Tree. Some occultists have also likened Malkuth to a cosmic filter, which lies above the world of the Qliphoth , or the Tree of Death, the world of chaos which is constructed from the imbalance of the original sephirot in the Tree of Life. For this reason it is associated with the feet and anus of the human body, the feet connecting the body to Earth, and the anus being the body s filter through which waste is excreted, just as Malkuth excretes unbalanced energy into the Qliphoth. Another way to understand this is that when one is sitting, as in a meditative state, it is the anus that makes physical contact with the Earth, whereas ... more details
