Born 1947 in the city of Matsuyama of Ehime prefecture, ShuheiFujioka graduated from Ritsumeikan University in 1970. Being introduced through the Aichi Prefectural Pottery Practitioner School, master potter Mitsuo Tanimoto took him as his apprentice.
