Greenberg v. Miami Children s HospitalResearch Institute was a May 29 2003 decision by the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida which ruled that individuals do not own their tissue samples when researchers take them for testing. It was opened in 1866 as a temporary wooden building, but was rebuilt as a Gothic polychrome building between 1866 and 1874.
