PR 3, in Yabucoa, enters downtown and continues uphill into the mountains. Therefore, the Department of Transportation designed PR 901 as a primary route this having the blue white designation in the boards while PR 53 is being constructed, because it is more direct to the area of Maunabo than PR 3, as the latter has more curves. It goes parallel to the coastline for several kilometers, but due to the mountains ending up in the very shore, PR 901 is a high road thus, a dangerous road and the Caribbean Sea is about several hundreds of feet below the road s level, making PR 901 a scenic route which also gives it the distinction of being one of the few roads in the island to offer a very beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea Or Atlantic Ocean since this is the highest coastline in all of Puerto Rico Cordillera Central ends exactly at the Vieques Passage . Between 1872 1882 55 of the class were built for the NER. From their introduction the 901 Class 2 4 0 s put in excellent service on the Newcastle Edinburgh and Newcastle York runs hauling 160 170 ton loads. During 1884 engines based at Gateshead depot were averaged 4,400 miles per month. Apart from minor instances of updating only two of the class underwent extensive rebuilding. More substantial modifications were made to the last of the Neilson built engines. No. 933 which in 1907 was not only reboilered but converted into a 4 4 0 but was scrapped in 1914. It became one of 29 of the class withdrawn between 1913 and 1914 and, but for the onset of the first World War, the rest would have follow suit. At 10 42, the flight was cleared to land at Runway 13 of Aeroparque Jorge Newbery . Visibility was reducing, and eventually the pilots lost sight of the runway and aborted the landing. The flight then conducted a go around and started its second approach. When approaching the NDB, the flight was cleared to hold at 600 metres due to a cumulonimbus cloud ahead. They were then cleared for a straight in approach to Runway 31. Shortly after, the crew lost control of the plane and it crashed into a river.
