His did his performances without any form of safety provisions. He performed all over Scandinavia and in the Olympics in Helsinki in 1952. Tell Teigen was engaged by the circus Ringling Brothers in the US. During a performance in 1958 he fell down from a high mast and was killed. He lives in Farmington Hills, Michigan and winters in Boynton Beach, Florida . He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and was educated in Public Health and English studies English at Columbia University Columbia and Long Island University Long Island universities. In his pre writing career, Tell held senior management positions at hospitals in New York , New Jersey , Kansas City, Missouri Kansas City and Detroit . He was also a health policy specialist at an urban health planning agency, and held university teaching appointments as a professor of health policy and planning. Tell was also the owner of a human resource consulting firm specializing in the health care industry . He sold this business in 1998 to devote himself to writing . Tell is a member of the Detroit Working Writers , a century old writer s group with membership restricted to published authors. He has written poetry , fiction and non fiction , including many magazine articles, and a trade newspaper column and has been invited to read his work at a variety of venues. He has recently completed his first novel . Tell s first published book is Dementia Diary , a semi autobiographical memoir describing his mother s sixteen year decline into the fog of dementia and his role as her voluntary caregiver caregiver . This book has received much praise from experts in the long term care community and has been accepted into the catalogue of the Farmington Hills, Michigan public library.
