A terrestrial reference frame effects the way we perceive almost everything from day to day because as we live on the earth an earth point of view is the only type we can experience. The most noticeable result of the Terrestrial Reference Frame is the way the sun appears to be rising and setting in the sky everyday, when in actuality it is the earth rotating on its axis. The International Terrestrial Reference System ITRS describes procedures for creating Terrestrial reference frame reference frame s suitable for use with measurements on or near the Earth s surface. This is done in much the same way that a physical standard might be described as a set of procedures for creating a realization of that standard. The ITRS defines a geocentric system of coordinates using the SI system of measurement. An International Terrestrial Reference Frame ITRF is a realization of the ITRS. New ITRF solutions are produced every few years, using the latest mathematical and surveying techniques to attempt to realize the ITRS as precisely as possible. Due to experimental error , any given ITRF will differ very slightly from any other realization of the ITRF. Also, the difference between the latest World Geodetic System WGS84 and the latest ITRF is only a few centimeters. ref http www.gmat.unsw.edu.au snap gps clynch pdfs coorddef.pdf ref Practical navigation systems are in general referenced to a specific ITRF solution, or to their own coordinate systems which are then referenced to an ITRF solution. Digital terrestrial television was launched in Sweden in 1999. The shutdown of the analogue equivalent started on September 19, 2005, and was finalized on October 29, 2007. The network uses the DVB T standard and broadcasts several free to air and encrypted channels on a number of multiplexes. The majority of the channels are encrypted and viewing them requires a decoding card from Boxer TV Access commonly referred to as Boxer which, as of 2007, is the only company allowed to sell decoding cards. History On April 9, 1997, the Swedish Riksdag decided that digital terrestrial television DTT was to be introduced in Sweden. In June 1998, the government decided which channels were to broadcast in the network. The channels that received a national license were TV3 Sweden TV3 , Kanal 5 Sweden Kanal 5 , C More Entertainment Canal , Kunskaps TV i Sverige to be K World , TV8 Sweden TV8 and Cell Internet Commerce Development eTV Sweden eTV in addition to SVT1 , SVT24 and TV4 Sweden TV4 . Seven subspecies are currently recognized. Geographic range It is found only in Southwestern Canada , and the Western United States . Description Most Western terrestrial garter snakes have a yellow, light orange, or white dorsal stripe, accompanied by two stripes of the same color, one on each side. Some varieties have red or black spots between the dorsal stripe and the side stripes. It is an immensely variable species, and even the most experienced herpetologists have trouble when it comes to identification. They are medium sized snakes, usually 46 104 cm 18 41 inches . Habitat Thamnophis elegans often inhabits coniferous forests, is relatively aquatic, and is found at altitudes of up to 13,000 feet 3,962 metres . Diet It will eat just about everything it can find, and is one of only two garter snake s known to cannibalize. Reproduction The western terrestrial garter snake does not lay eggs, but instead is ovoviviparous , which is characteristic of Natricinae natricine snakes. cleanup date January 2010 Terrestrial stationary waves is a persistent spherical Electrical conductor conductor single wire surface wave electricity electrical transmission line phenomenon arising across the Earth s surface by virtue of the highly conductive nature of the earth itself. It was considered by Nikola Tesla to be his most important discovery. Earth s surface constitutes an interface that supports the wave. On July 3, 1899, Tesla claimed discovery of this new geo electrical phenomenon, which he said would allow for the transmission of electrical energy around the world. quote That communication without wires to any point of the globe is practicable with such apparatus would need no demonstration, but through a discovery which I made I obtained absolute certitude. Popularly explained, it is exactly this When we raise the voice and hear an echo in reply, we know that the sound of the voice must have reached a distant wall, or boundary, and must have been reflected from the same. Exactly as the sound, so an electrical wave is reflected, and the same evidence which is afforded by an echo is offered by an electrical phenomenon known as a stationary wave that is, a wave with fixed nodal and ventral regions. Instead of sending sound vibrations toward a distant wall, I have sent electrical vibrations toward the remote boundaries of the earth, and instead of the wall the earth has replied. In place of an echo I have obtained a stationary electrical wave, a wave reflected from afar. ref http www.tfcbooks.com tesla 1900 06 00.htm THE PROBLEM OF INCREASING HUMAN ENERGY , Century Magazine, June 1900 ref Terrestrial stationary waves were first observed by Tesla and formed the basis ... of the stationary terrestrial waves, showing that, despite its vast extent, the entire planet can ...
