On 19 February 2003, the new Divisions were nominally abolished and the Territory returned to a single Division, but on 28 April 2004 the Parliament of Australia passed the Commonwealth Electoral Amendment Representation in the House of Representatives Act 2004 which had the effect of granting the Northern Territory two Divisions. ref http www.aec.gov.au Electorates Redistributions Dates.htm Australian Electoral Commission, Dates of Redistributions ...   more details
