In mathematics , a tertiary ideal is an two sided Ideal ring theory ideal in a perhaps noncommutative Ring mathematics ring that cannot be expressed as a nontrivial intersection of a right fractional ideal with another ideal. Tertiary ideals generalize primary ideal s to the case of noncommutative ring s. Although primary decomposition s do not exist in general for ideals in noncommutative rings, tertiary decompositions do, at least if the ring is Noetherian ring Noetherian . Every primary ideal is tertiary. Tertiary ideals and primary ideals coincide for commutatitve rings. It reflects development of autonomous unregulated parathyroid function following a period of persistent parathyroid stimulation. The basis of treatment is still prevention in chronic renal failure, starting medication and dietary restrictions long before dialysis treatment is initiated. Cinacalcet has greatly reduced the number of patients who ultimately require surgery for secondary hyperparathyroidism however, approximately 5 of patients do not respond to medical therapy. When secondary hyperparathyroidism is corrected and the parathyroid glands remain hyperfunctioning, it becomes tertiary hyperparathyroidism. The treatment of choice is surgical removal of three and one half parathyroid glands . The Gatun structure is a possible eroded impact crater . It is named after the nearby Gatun Lake in Panama . It was first discovered in 1972 by geologist Bob Stewart and later studied by Livio L. Tornabene from the University of South Florida Academic department Department of Geology . The structure is estimated to have formed about 20 million years ago. This would place the event in the Miocene Geologic timescale epoch . Despite the considerable erosion , it was possible to estimate the original diameter to have been 2.7 to 3 km, assuming the impact hypothesis is correct. Although diagnostic evidence of impact has not been reported, evidence favoring an impact origin include the recovery of possible Impactite impact glass at the site. Alternatively, the site may be of volcanic origin. References cite journal author Tornabene, L. L., Stewart, R. H. Ryan, J.
