It was built in 1923 as 500 watt experimental transmitter whose power was increased in 1926 to 5000 watt. At Huizen transmitter in 1926 possibly the first rotating shortwave transmission antenna consisting of 2 60 metres tall towers were built. The towers of Huizen transmitter were well known landmarks and often shown on postcards. In 1935 they were demolished after the erection of a mast radiator near Hilversum in 1931. 1. Stadelheim Transmitter

Stadelheim Transmitter was a medium wave broadcast transmitter in Munich Stadelheim, built in 1926 in the neighbourhood of the famous Stadelheim Prison . It took up experimental operation on March 1, 1926 and full operation on April 1, 1926. As Antenna radio antenna , this transmitter used a t antenna hung up on two 100 metre high free standing steel framework towers. The transmitter used a Vacuum tube tube transmitter and a Alexanderson alternator machine transmitter from the company C Lorenz AG, the company which made the Lorenz cipher machine. However the machine transmitter had numerous technical problems. Antenna problems In addition, the transmitting antenna did not work well and was replaced in the autumn of 1926 by a T antenna hung on two 75 metre high wood framework towers, ref http skyscraperpage.com diagrams ?b60833 ref ref http skyscraperpage.com diagrams ?b60834 ref which were built by the company Kuebler, located in Stuttgart . In the night of 22 23 November 1930 a storm bent both towers at a height of 25 metres some buildings were also damaged. Transmitting was restarted later that day with an emergency antenna, which was stretched between the tower stumps. The destroyed towers were replaced with two new wood towers with T antennas, placed farther from the buildings. These were built at the turn of the year 1930 31. ref http skyscraperpage.com diagrams ?b60835 ref ref http skyscraperpage.com diagrams ?b60836 ref After the inauguration of the transmitter Ismaning on December 3, 1932 the transmitter Stadelheim was used as a spare transmitter for the Ismaning facility. 1. Erching transmitter

The Erching transmitter was a longwave broadcasting facility of the Voice of America , established in 1953 near Erching , Bavaria , Germany . The transmitter used a 256 metre high guyed steel framework mast aerial, at the time of its inauguration the most powerful radio station in the world with a transmitting power of 1000 kilowatts In 1973 the transmitter was shut down because of a relaxed political climate. In 1979 it was used for LORAN LORAN D tests. The Deutsche Bundespost German Federal Post received a new frequency for this transmitter and used it for broadcasting the programming of Deutschlandfunk . Because directional radiation was required at night time, a second aerial mast had to be erected. This was impossible because of the then planned new Munich International Airport opened in 1992 , so the transmitter had to be shut down at night time. A new transmitter site was consequently placed at Aholming transmitter Aholming in 1985. After the completion of this new transmitter, Erching tower was shut down and dismantled.
