Unreferenced date April 2011 Image Lincolnspeedway.png thumb right 300px Logo Lincoln Speedway located in Lincoln, Illinois on the Logan County Fairgrounds , is a 1 4 mile dirt race track that opened in 2004. In 2007 Lincoln Speedway hosted events for World of Outlaws Late Model Series and United Midwestern Promoters UMP Summernationals as well as their local racing series . 2008 will see more of the same from both sanctioning bodies, as well as full time sanctioning from United Midwestern Promoters . In 2008, Lincoln Speedway acquired their very own 2 seat Late model Late Model , and offer rides in it after the racing program is finished. Lincoln Speedway s season opening race for 2011 is Friday, April 8th, and the speedway will also hold a Nascar Night on Tuesday, June 14th for the first time ever. Lincoln Speedway will also be racing every friday night this year with sanctioning from United Midwestern Promoters . Ponga is a Melanesian Kanak , but unlike most Kanaks, he opposes New Caledonia s independence from France and is a member of The Rally UMP , a major anti independence party. He has represented the party, known as RPCR until 2002, in the Congress of New Caledonia between 1995 and 2009. While in office, he participated in all but one New Caledonian government. Most recently, as Minister of Youth and Sports in the Harold Martin Martin II government, he played a major role in the success of Noumea s bid for the 2011 Pacific Games . In the 2009 European elections, he was the UMP s candidate in the Pacific Section of the Overseas constituency, and his candidacy was locally supported by all anti independence parties.
