They catalog every deck of the ship, uncluding exterior views and a side view cutaway. They come in a box set with a booklet that talks about the blueprints. Production As Rick Sternbach says, the team used several methods to create the blueprints. First they had to gather material, so they went to the archives of the Star Trek The Next Generation art department, where they found plans and drawings of the various sets created for the show. They also collected exterior drawings and photos to see how the ship had changed from its conception to its devastating crash in Star Trek Generations . They also transferred the ink drawings of the exterior of the ship, which had been used in the Star Trek The Next Generation Technical Manual , to the computer for greater detail since the plans were going to be so much larger this time. She was a successful privateer before she was purchased for the Continental Navy in 1776. Commanded by Captain James Campbell, the schooner Enterprise operated principally in Chesapeake Bay . She convoy ed transports, carried out reconnaissance, and guarded the shores against foraging raids by the British. Only meager records of her service have been found they indicate that she was apparently returned to the Maryland Council of Safety in 1777. Only commissioned ships of the US Navy carry the USS United States Ship . The Navy also uses the prefix retroactively for ships that would have been commissioned under current practice. Since the first USS Enterprise 1775 USS Enterprise was still in service, this Enterprise would not have been commissioned by the US Navy and does not use the USS prefix.
