The service was founded in 1981 and features twelve routes in four different categories. Four intercity routes 1, 2, 6, and 7 connect the major population centers of the region. Three Wildcat Transit lines 3 5 serve University of New Hampshire students. Three FasTrans routes 33 35 provide Dover city service, while two Portsmouth Trolley routes 40 41 serve this city in a similar capacity.
