Benefits The immediate benefits of UQ include standardised routing, recording, handling, reporting, and management of all communications in a contact center or across an entire organisation . The immediate benefits may in turn result in others, such as increased sales, reduced overheads, cost savings and an improvement in relationships with customers and suppliers. Usage Although UQ was discussed at least as far back as 2004, the difficulties in implementing such a system seem to have prevented its widespread uptake. As of 2008, there is little data available online regarding existing UQ implementations. In linguistics , the term universal grinder refers to an idea that in some languages, most count noun s can be used as if they were mass noun s, which causes a slight change in their meaning. Because of this change of meaning, sentences made using the universal grinder can sometimes appear unappealing, for example I went to the site of the traffic accident, and there was dog lying all over the road. While the universal grinder can be used in many Indo European language s, most particularly English language English and Dutch language Dutch , it does not work with all languages, because of their different morphology linguistics morphology .
