Their first first class matches came in 1895 when they played home and away matches against Cambridge University Cricket Club Cambridge University , also playing at home against the Marylebone Cricket Club MCC and away against Leicestershire County Cricket Club Leicestershire . They would not play first class cricket again until 1922 when they played Essex County Cricket Club Essex and four times against Northamptonshire County Cricket Club Northamptonshire between 1924 and 1926. University College Dublin Symphony Orchestra is an Republic of Ireland Irish orchestra based in University College Dublin . It plays annually in the National Concert Hall in Dublin . History Established in 2002, the UCDSO is the university s leading music ensemble with around 70 80 student members. It is now a recognised programme module and elective under the UCD Horizons scheme, allowing students to reap academic as well as artistic and social rewards. The orchestra made its off campus debut in February 2005 at the National Concert Hall in Dublin, where it now performs annually. Soloists playing with the orchestra have included the violinists Cora Venus Lunny , Gillian Williams and Leonie Curtin, the harpist Teresa O Donnell, pianists Philip Martin and Mary McCague, guitarist Redmond O Toole and mezzo soprano Norah King. DublinUniversity Association Football Club DUAFC is the association football club of Trinity College, Dublin . Founded in 1883, DUAFC is the oldest soccer club in the Republic of Ireland still in existence. The senior squad plays regular matches in Leinster Senior League association football Leinster Senior League and the Irish Universities League, and competes in the Collingwood Cup intervarsity competition and the annual Colours match against University College Dublin A.F.C. . Last year, four of the current squad were selected to represent the Irish Universities side.
