Tsunami CE Corp recognized early in 1999 tracking data of a person or organization or business would not be sufficient for future connections without implementing all aspects important to the profile to be ePublished. For this reason, Tsunami CE Corp founder Annette Abbott added to the userprofile image, video, audio and other uploadable digital media data. Annette Abbott is also responsible for the editing capabilities of the userprofile seen on social media today. The userprofile is currently offered as a product available for licenisng through Tsunami s parent company, CEhub, Inc. The network provides an infrastructure featureing shared servers, shared software, shared storage and shared networking for the purpose of making connections, data analysis, marketing and selling products and services at a greatly reduced rate. The Lemonade Profile is a set of protocols and mandatory extensions which provides email access to diverse environments, including mobile handsets and other resource constrained devices. It is the product of an IETF Working Group , and is largely based on pre existing specifications, including IMAP and the Message Submission profile of SMTP . It has been published as RFC 4550. Unlike many mobile email proposals, including Push IMAP , the Lemonade Profile does not provide for message submission via IMAP, but instead allows the mail submission agent MSA to pull message data directly from the IMAP store in a secure manner. This allows the protocols to continue to leverage the vast body of work on SMTP, and also means that any traditional IMAP client can interoperate fully with a Lemonade service. Rather than providing a Push e mail mechanism, The Lemonade Profile relies on the existing IMAP capability to provide short notification messages at any time, and includes support for the IDLE command. When there is ongoing activity between the server and the client, IMAP will automatically inform the client of the presence of new messages. IDLE ensures that the server will inform the client of new messages even when there is no other activity taking place between client and server by ensuring that the connection is not disrupted by a timeout. Because of this, IDLE is often cited as providing a user experience similar to that of Push e mail. Buddy profiles are brief descriptions that each AOL Instant Messenger AIM user can write about himself or herself. They are derived from the original AOL Member Profiles, which allowed AOL users to list personal details such as age, sex, and location a s l . Among other popular things, who the users friends are or inspiring quotes. Profiles cannot be made using http aimexpress.aol.com AIM Express . Buddy profiles allow multiple font faces, font colors, and background colors to be used to create unique profiles. Buddy profiles suffer from several limitations the two primary limitations are the space limitation a kilobyte and the lack of image support. http www.subprofile.com Subprofile.com was the first website to overcome the space limitation of the buddy profile. It created the phenomenon known as the subprofile , which was opened internally in the AIM Buddy Profile window. The subprofile allowed users a much greater amount of space to store their information. It also created new features, such as quizzes, countdowns, and random fact generators. The subprofiles created by Subprofile.com and other sites such as Buddyprofile.com still suffered from a key limitation the lack of image support. This was overcome in 2002 by http www.xprofile.net XProfile . XProfile s solution to the lack of image support was to open the link in an external browser. XProfile s subprofiles appear very much like a standard website. Later, several websites such as http www.buddy4u.com Buddy4u took a different approach to the problem. These profiles are opened in the AIM Today window, and in terms of window size and shape appear much like a standard profile, but with support for images and other features like those pioneered by Subprofile.com. A Protection Profile PP is a document used as part of the certification process according to the Common Criteria CC . As the generic form of a Security Target ST , it is typically created by a user or user community and provides an implementation independent specification of information assurance security requirements. A PP is a combination of threats, security objectives, assumptions, security functional requirements SFRs , security assurance requirements SARs and rationales. A PP specifies generic security evaluation criteria to substantiate vendors claims of a given family of information system products. Among others, it typically specifies the Evaluation Assurance Level EAL , a number 1 through 7, indicating the depth and rigor of the security evaluation, usually in the form of supporting documentation and testing, that a product meets the security requirements specified in the PP. The NIST National Institute of Standards and Technology NIST and the NSA National Security Agency NSA have agreed to cooperate on the development of validated United States U.S. government of the United States government PPs. Purpose A PP states a security problem rigorously for a given collection of system or products, known as the Target of Evaluation TOE and to specify security requirements to address that problem without dictating how these requirements will be implemented. A PP may inherit requirements from one or more other PPs. In order to get a product evaluated and certified according to the CC, the product vendor has to define a Security Target ST which may comply with one or more PPs. In this way a PP may serve as a template for the product s ST. Problem Areas Although the EAL is easiest for laymen to compare, its simplicity is deceptive because this number is rather meaningless without an understanding the security implications of the PP s and ST used for the evaluation. Technically, comparing evaluated products requires assessing both the EAL and the functional requirements ... more details

The CSS Financial Aid PROFILE often written as CSS PROFILE , short for the College Scholarship Service Profile, is an application distributed by the College Board in the United States allowing college students to apply for financial aid educational expenses financial aid . It is primarily designed to give private member institutions of the College Board a closer look into the finances of a student and family. It is much more detailed than the FAFSA . The CSS Profile asks questions about the financial status of the student and the student s parents. The information the student gives in the CSS Profile is then sent to college s or university universities that the student specifies. Along with the FAFSA , the CSS Profile is the most common financial aid application that students in the United States fill out. Each CSS Profile costs a fee, varying from year to year. Generally, colleges with early acceptance programs student receives admission decision before the new year use the CSS PROFILE to make preliminary financial aid decisions because the FAFSA is not available until after January 1. Then after student completes the FAFSA the official financial aid application colleges may then make adjustments to their financial aid awards if necessary. For the 2010 11 form the application fee was 9.00 and 16.00 per college submitted. Harvard, Yale, and many other Ivy League institutions require the CSS Profile. A school profile is a document which must be produced by most maintained school s in England , under the provisions of the Education Act 2005 . The profile replaces the requirement for school governors to produce an annual report to parents. The profile is, in part, pre populated with data provided by the Department for Children, Schools and Families and its agencies, including the Office for Standards in Education . This data includes standard information such as number of pupils and school type, and a summary of school performance in National Curriculum assessment s. In addition, schools and their governors are required to compile sections of the profile in answer to the questions as follows What have been our successes this year? What are we trying to improve? How have our results changed over time? How are we making sure that every child receives teaching to meet their individual needs? How do we make sure our pupils are healthy, safe and well supported? What have we done in response to our Ofsted report? How are we working with parents and the community? Such profiles must be produced by all maintained school s in England, except for maintained nursery school s. Other school types are not required to produce a profile, although may elect to do so. The profile must be produced at least once in each academic year, with an updated profile being published by 31 July each year. Profiles are expected to be published on the SchoolsFinder website operated by the Department for Children, Schools and Families , although as of January 2007 on going technical problems had prohibited this in many cases.
