The full form is Hiranya Garbha Purusha Pradhana Avyakta Rupine Om Namah Vaasudevaye Shudh Gyan Svarupine I bow to Him, the one with the golden womb, who is both the eternal soul and the nature Prakrti , the subtle and hidden. I bow to Lord Vasudeva, who has the form of pure knowledge or who is seen through knowledge that is pure . Origin and Reference from Texts This Mantra is found in the Vishnu Purana , within the story of Dhruva . Dhruva asks the seven great saints Sapta Rishis about the appropriate means to worship Vasudeva. The saints tell him of this great Mantra, and they also tell that this mantra was first used by Dhruva s grandfather, Svayambhuva Manu to worship Vasudeva. By satisfying Vasudeva with this mantra, Dhruva s Grandfather, Svayambhuva attained his heart s desire the position of a Manu Hinduism Manu . Immediately after the wedding of Devaki and Vasudeva, an oracle predicted the death of Devaki s evil brother Kamsa Kansa at the hand of the eighth son of Devaki . Kansa then resolved upon killing all the progeny of Devaki immediately upon birth, and imprisoned the newly wed couple without further ado. This left the distraught Rohini alone, albeit at liberty. Kansa proceeded to personally kill each child born to the imprisoned couple immediately after its birth. In due course, Devaki found herself pregnant for a seventh time. However, this seventh child was not to meet the fate of the six previous infants the unborn child was miraculously transferred from the womb of Devaki to the womb of Rohini, who had long been craving a child of her own. The child thus born was named Balarama , and grew to be a great warrior and support of his younger brother Krishna . Nurture of Krishna Krishna , who was the much anticipated eighth child of Devaki , was moved immediately after birth to Vrindavana Gokula in secrecy. The last ruler of the Sunga dynasty was overthrown by Vasudeva Kanva Vasudeva of the Kanva dynasty in 75 BC. The Kanva ruler allowed the kings of the Sunga dynasty to continue to rule in obscurity in a corner of their former dominions. Magadha was ruled by four Kanva rulers. Little is known about the Kanvas however, their dynasty was brought to an end by the Satavahanas of the south.     Kanishka III was a Kushan emperor who reigned for a short period around the year 268 CE. He is believed to have succeeded Vasishka and was succeeded by Vasudeva II .     Orphan date February 2009 According to Hindu iconography and mythology, Chaturmurthi refers to a deity form murti , with four heads. It is often used as a name for Brahma who is described as such within Puranic literatures. It is also sometimes used to describe a particular form of Vishnu . This composite aspect of Vishnu has four faces representing a human being, a lion , a boar and a rakshasa . This signifies four manifestations of Vishnu in the forms of Vasudeva , Pradyumna , Shesha Sankarshana Balarama and Aniruddha. The human face Vasudeva is at the centre, flanked on right and left respectively by a lion and a boar Aniruddha , and on the back the face of a grimacing rakshasa Pradyumna .
