    I Solisti Veneti is one of the first rank of small Italian chamber orchestras with modern instruments. Founded in Padua in 1959 by Claudio Scimone , it has made a reputation especially with Italian Baroque music , recording many works by Antonio Antonio Vivaldi Vivaldi , Tomaso Albinoni , Francesco Geminiani , Benedetto Marcello and Giuseppe Tartini . Giuliano Carmignola and Piero Toso were two of the soloists in the ensemble. The group has made over 300 recordings, many on the Erato record label. A number of these were first ever recordings of works of Vivaldi, Albinoni and Rossini. I Solisti Veneti has recorded for television and movies. The Gorge is for the most part made by the valley of the Vistula , with two Polish uplands on both sides of the river Ma opolska Upland Lesser Poland or Ma opolska Upland to the west, and Lublin Upland to the east. The gorge is about 70 kilometers long, extending from the town of Zawichost in the south, to Pu awy in the north. It is considerably narrow, only up to 3 kilometers wide. In some places, the banks of the Vistula valley are very steep, up to 70 meters above the water level. The region comprises a densely populated agricultural land, with two main towns historic Kazimierz Dolny , and Annopol . Other towns are J zef w , Bochotnica , Janowiec and Wilk w .     Vistula River Railroad Polish Kolej Nadwi la ska was a railroad system, opened on August 17, 1877. It ran from northwest to southeast, through the territory of the former Congress Poland , known after the November Uprising as Privislinsky Krai part of the Russian Empire . Starting in M awa , which back then was located near the border with the German Empire , the connection ran through Ciechan w , Warsaw , D blin , Lublin , and Che m , to the strategic railroad junction of Kovel now Ukraine . In M awa, the system reached the Prussian railway network, as the nearby German border station of Dzia dowo Soldau was another important junction, with connections to Gda sk Danzig , Olsztyn Allenstein , and Toru Thorn . Altogether, the length of the system was 522 kilometers, and originally, it was a wide gauge line. In 1887, the Vistula River Railroad employed 2364 workers. During the World War II 1939 the railroad was partitioned forming the Soviet Kovel Railways as one of its successors. In 1953 Kovel Railways were merged with Lviv Railways . Lublin Station still has the original main station building dating from 1877 though rebuilt in the 1920s , which opened together with the railroad and is well preserved to this day.
