  1. Business Basic

Business Basic is the name given collectively to variants of the BASIC computer programming language which were specialised for business use on minicomputers in the 1970s and 1980s. Business Basics added indexed file access methods to the normal set of BASIC commands, and were optimised for other input output access, especially computer terminal display terminal control. The two major families of Business Basic are MAI Basic Four , and Data General Business Basic . In the 1980s, Business Basics were ported from their original proprietary environments to many Unix platforms, and to DOS . In the 1990s, some Business Basics were ported to Linux and Microsoft Windows Windows , and Business Basic integrated development environment s became available. Such an interface presents a list of messages for playback and may include a transcript of each message. In 2007, Apple Inc. Apple s iPhone was the first cell phone promoting this feature. Since then, several companies in the telecommunication s space have integrated a visual element into their voicemail services, as Samsung s Samsung Instinct Instinct and the BlackBerry Storm and Torch. Other phone system vendors are now also offering these features for internal voicemail users. This complements the basic voicemail to e mail or via SMS to mobile devices which is becoming ubiquitous in that it allows better management of voicemail messages without clogging up the user s inbox and saves time filtering spam. One way to use visual voicemail is via mobile client applications. T Mobile International launched the service as Mobilbox Pro in August 2009 for a range of S60 software platform Symbian S60 devices with announcement to support further phones including Windows Mobile and Android operating system Android devices. The name is usually used to imply an interim or transitory nature, or avoid attempting a claim to being the highest law , often for religious reasons. Lien, The BASIC Handbook Compusoft Pub., 1981 ref For example A 13,17 in NorthStar BASIC corresponded to MID A ,13,5 in other dialects. This string addressing technique is analogous to the one used in Fortran , and was also used in HP 3000 Basic and Atari BASIC .
