History Tec Voc was founded in the 1950s by the Winnipeg School Division with the goal of creating the top technical high school in the province of Manitoba . Over the past few years some changes at Tec Voc have occurred. Some of these changes include Moving to a 5 period day, banning smoking on all school property, the addition of a cheerleading squad, the introduction of 2 frac 1 2 credits at the grade 10 level. The two courses are a portfolio program where Tec Voc students learn many of the skills that they will need upon entering the workforce, and an Information Technology course.
