Bowen Park is a heritage listed precinct in Bowen Hills, Queensland Bowen Hills , Queensland , Australia . History Bowen Park was originally a parcel of land of about 16 hectares 40 acres bordered by O Connell Terrace, Bowen Bridge Road, Gregory Terrace and Brookes Street. The land was granted to the Queensland Acclimatisation Society in two grants, the first in 1863 and the secnd in 1866. Some of the land had previously been used as a brickworks while the remainder was virgin bushland. Early life She was born in Wimbledon, London , and brought up in Australia in a rather disordered existence, mostly in Brisbane and Sydney .
