Through supplemental resources, such as thematic units, teachers are given access to materials to help promote educational success and to make learning more meaningful for the ESL migrant population in their classrooms. Former OMEC Director, John Kreis, and the Reading Development Center at Bowling Green State University have created a broad range of thematic units for students in grades K 8 that revolve around the migrant experience.
