She is the mother of Michael and Matilda Wormwood Matilda and the wife of Mr. Wormwood . While she is sometimes abusive to Matilda, she is also sometimes nice to her. Tricks Mrs. Wormwood is hardly ever tricked by Matilda, judging by the fact that she is sometimes nice to Matilda, as opposed to Mr. Wormwood, who is never nice to Matilda therefore, he is always the primary victim of her tricks to get back at him.
