Holden Oversoul and Contentment Blues were both from a John Keane Studio session in September 1990. Wrangler did have several characteristics that made it more novel than most Westerns. One was the hero s profession. Most Western series heroes were either marshal s, sheriff s, gunfighter s, rancher s, trailhands, and Reconnaissance scout s. Many of them were cowboys at one time or another, but had changed professions.
