It is part of the Cygwin project, and is installed using Cygwin s standard setup system. Cygwin X is free software , licensed under the X11 License . Cygwin X was originally based on XFree86 , but switched to the X.Org Server , owing to concerns over XFree86 s new software license not being compatible with the GPL. ref See XFree86 2004 Licensing controversy XFree86 Licensing controversy . ref After a long pause following a 8 July 2005 release, the project was revitalised and the developers released a version based on the X.org modular 7.4 release on 12 November 2008 and continue to maintain it. Features There are two ways to run Cygwin X In one, an X server runs in a single Microsoft Windows window that serves as the X display, which holds the X root window and all the other X windows in the X session. You use an X window manager to manage the X windows within the display. You can run multiple X servers, each in its own Microsoft Windows window. The other method is to run Cygwin X rootless . In this method, each X window corresponds with its own Microsoft Windows window and there is no root window. Unreferenced date December 2009 A server side include vulnerability is a vulnerability that may allow an attacker to execute arbitrary scripting language scripts on a host server computing server by causing an existing script to include an arbitrary file. The vulnerability arises by allowing unchecked user data to be passed to include directives in scripting languages, such as PHP . A PHP example In PHP, code include code , code require code and similar subroutine functions may allow the application developer to include an external PHP script in the running script. If it is possible for the user to control parameter computer science arguments to the include function, it may be possible for a malicious user to direct the vulnerable script to execute arbitrary code on the host server, allowing complete control of PHP execution on the host server. The proper solution to this vulnerability is to modify the vulnerable code in order to prevent user control of file include directives. A PHP include vulnerability may be partially mitigated in some cases by using PHP s allow url fopen and allow url include options in an effort to limit file inclusion to local files, but this may be evaded in some cases e.g. by including Apache s logfile which may contain arbitrary PHP code . The Dzongkha keyboard layout scheme is designed as a simple means for inputting Dzongkha language Dzongkha and classical Tibetan text on computers. This keyboard layout was standardized by the Dzongkha Development Commission DDC and the Department of Information Technology, Bhutan Department of Information Technology DIT of the Royal Government of Bhutan in 2000. It was updated in 2009 to accommodate additional characters added to the Unicode & ISO 10646 standards since the initial version. Since the arrangement of keys essentially follows the usual order of the Dzongkha and Tibetan alphabet , the layout can be quickly learned by anyone familiar with this alphabet. Subjoined combining consonants are entered using the Shift key. The Dzongkha dz keyboard layout is included in the XFree86 distribution.
