  1. Set-aside program

In United States agricultural policy, the set aside program not used since the late 1970s was a program under which farmers were required to set aside a certain percentage of their total planted acreage and devote this land to approved conservation uses such as grasses, legumes, and small grain which is not allowed to mature in order to be eligible for nonrecourse loans and deficiency payments. Set aside acreage was based on the number of acres a farmer actually planted in the program year as opposed to being based on prior crop years. 1. Modern Painters

about a list of modern artists list of modern artists the magazine founded by Peter Fuller Modern Painters magazine Modern Painters 1843 is a book on art by John Ruskin which argues that recent painters emerging from the tradition of the picturesque are superior in the art of landscape to the old master s. The book was primarily written as a defence of the later work of J.M.W. Turner . Ruskin used the book to argue that art should devote itself to the accurate documentation of nature. In Ruskin s view Turner had developed from early detailed documentation of nature to a later more profound insight into natural forces and atmospheric effects. Ruskin added later volumes in subsequent years. Volume two 1846 placed emphasis on symbolism in art, expressed through nature. The second volume was influential on the early development of Pre Raphaelitism . Ruskin also added third and fourth volumes in later years. The Professional Boxing Association PBA was formed in 2007. The original idea of an organisation designed to support the welfare and education of boxers came from Barry McGuigan , and had been an ambition of his since the 1980s. Despite McGuigan s personal success in the world of boxing , he had seen numerous individuals devote their life to the sport, compromising their education and training in other skills , in the hope that they would reach professional status. What frustrated McGuigan was the fact that not everyone could become a champion, and that their dedication to boxing may well have served them negatively, if they had not supplemented their physical training with personal development and education ref cite web url http www.mirror.co.uk sport columnists mcguigan 2007 12 15 get it back on the telly 89520 20253285 title The Mirror ref .
