music (dotMusic) is a proposed generic top-level domain (gTLD) in the Domain Name System (DNS) of the Internet, intended for the music community and music web sites. The dotMusic initiative was based on a 2001 Top Business Plan at the USC Entrepreneur Program that was awarded to Constantine Roussos by the university.[1] Constantine Roussos, the founder of Music.us, announced in 2005 that the music gTLD would become a sponsored top-level domain similar to mobi, travel, and other existing gTLDs.
