The 2004 Cayman Islands earthquake was a magnitude 6.8 M_L earthquake that occurred on 14 December, 2004. The epicenter of the earthquake was northwest of George Town in the Cayman Islands,^[1], where minor damage to buildings was observed. The earthquake was also felt at Bodden Town and West Bay in the Cayman Islands, as well as being felt in parts of Cuba, at Cancun in Mexico and also at Kingston, Jamaica.^[1] The earthquake did not cause a tsunami; no fatalities or significant injuries were reported.
