A4 motorway (Romania)

The A4 motorway (Autostrada A4 in Romanian) is a motorway currently being constructed in Romania. When completed, it will be a four-lane, approximately 60-kilometer motorway, stretching north of Constan a from Ovidiu to the Bulgarian border south of Mangalia along the Western Black Sea coast. The motorway is part of an extension of the Pan-European corridor IV ending to the Bulgarian city of Varna.[1]

  • July 29, 2011: Constan a West (interchange with A2) Lazu (DN39) segment (about 7 km).
  • September 30, 2011: DN3 interchange Constan a West interchange (4 km).[2]
  • Next scheduled opening: Ovidiu Constan a West (11 km) on November 30, 2011.[2]
