ABC is the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's television station in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. The station began broadcasting on 18 December 1962 and broadcasts from studios in Dickson and its main transmitter is at Black Mountain. ABC Canberra studios Local programming In the ACT, the ABC produces a nightly 7pm state news bulletin ABC News Canberra, presented by Virginia Haussegger on weeknights and Craig Allen on weekends. Weekend sport bulletins are presented by Chris Kimball. The weeknight bulletins also incoprorate a national finance presented by Alan Kohler in Melbourne. The weekly current affairs program, 7.30 ACT airs on Friday nights at 7:30pm, presented by Chris Kimball. References
