The Age of Persecution began in 64 AD with the persecution of Christians in Rome by Nero and ended in 313 AD with Constantine's Edict of Milan. This period was critical in the development of the Early Church.

Origin

It all started when Nero started the great fire of Rome. He blamed it on the Christians.
