Bharti Airtel Limited is the fastest growing mobile company in the world, with over 205 million customers, operating in 20 countries and growing as of June 2011, and is rated among the top 10 best performing companies in the world in the Business Week IT 100 list. Vodafone is the largest mobile telecommunications network company in the world, operating in over 30 countries with over 315 million customers worldwide.[1][2] They hold strong partnerships with Nokia and IBM. Despite the Airtel-Vodafone partnership, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone are actually competitors in 5 countries - Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, India, Kenya and Tanzania.
