Akasaka Blitz

Opened in April, 1996, Akasaka BLITZ is a so-called music "live-house" in Minato, Tokyo, owned and operated by Tokyo Broadcasting System Television, Inc. Until the opening of Shibuya-AX in 2000, it was the only concert space that in the metropolitan area that could accommodate 1500 people. As part of a redevelopment plan that involved the demolition of several TBS buildings in the area,[1] it was closed down from 2003 until its reopening on March 20, 2008.

Many local acts including Aucifer, Kiichi Yokoyama, Thee Michelle Gun Elephant, Dir en grey, Bump of Chicken, Dragon Ash, and X JAPAN, to name a few have used the venue as the final destination of their concert tours.
