Mastercam X5 and Machine Simulation on a 5-axis Demo Part
Duration: 14:12
Description: This demo part was programmed within the all-new Mastercam X5 Software, and demonstrates the included Machine Simulation. All toolpathing is set to show the best of what is new with Mastercam and trochoidal/dynamic tool motion. From here, the program can be sent to the 5-axis CNC Machine. With Mastercam X5 and Machine Simulation, the part can be cut with the assurance that it will be correct and crash-free.
Description: I used Photoshop and Rhino3D to simulate water drops for eventual output to my DIY CNC. I provided this video as a compliment to the instuctable located at www.instructables.com I also designed and built the MDF3790 CNC machine used in the video. You can go to www.grunblau.com to learn more about it and to get plans on how to build one yourself!
Description: www.neo7cnc.com This is a quick tutorial on have to calibrate your CNC axis in Mach3 so the distance your code tells the CNC to move is actually what you get. Be sure to subscribe.

Description: On Day 6 we learn about CNC Machining. This is where the rubber hits the road. Before this, we did virtually everything on the computer. Now we move into the real world. Machining is about removing material from a piece of stock until we finalize our parts. One thing we learn is that...
Description: In this CNC Tutorial Video we go over the design in CAD. We resize it to our dimensions and then convert it into a DXF File. Finally the DXF File is ready for CAM. www.cncinformation.com
ArtCAM Express 2011 - Machining a 3D Relief

Description: This tutorial video for the DeskProto 3D CAM software will give you basic information on how to use DeskProto: the user interface, how to import a geometry, orientate it, calculate toolpaths and save these in an NC program file. Also the important concept of roughing and finishing is explained. You can find more informatio on www.deskproto.com
Description: In this CNC ECourse Video we go over the first step in the CNC Process. The first step is CNC Design. During CNC Design you are thinking of things like: What size will it be? What material will it be made of? Who is the customer? What will it be used for? Before I design I like to sketch a few ideas out on paper. I like to toy with different ideas to spark my creativity. This is the equivalent of brainstorming. When I really get my juices flowing, that is when my best designs rise to the top. I generally carry around a notebook with me to note designs that I think of during the day. www.cncinformation.com
SheetCAM Video Tutorial 1 | What is SheetCAM | Learn ...
Duration: 5:38
Description: What is SheetCAM? We go over what SheetCAM is in this CAM video tutorial. This first video is about the basics of SheetCAM if you have never been exposed to it. We look at SheetCAM topics like: What is SheetCAM? Where do you get SheetCAM? How much is SheetCAM? What is support like? What do you use SheetCAM for? As we talk about these different questions, SheetCAM has proved to me to be a great CAM Software Package. It really excels when machining "sheets" of material. Sheets like steel, plastic and thin wood. CAM stands for Computer Aided Manufacturing. SheetCAM is a CAM Software Package that connects your CAD Design to your CNC Machine.

Description: This is the first second video in a small series I am making to show how easy CNC cutting is. This video will give you the basic idea and premise behind taking you idea or design and turning into something the machine can understand. I show the entire modelling process in Inventor although most will use other CAD systems it is similar. Then I show the CAM program CamBam taking the dxf export from Inventor and with a few clicks and keystrokes turning it into G-Code. I have Inventor as my CAD system but unfortunately most people cannot buy this do to its extreme cost $2000 +. I have a student version which was free but unless you are a high school or college student you cannot get a student version. Same goes with Solidworks and most big software packages. There are tons of much cheaper packages out there so google around and find one that you like and has good support. Just make sure that you can export 2D dxf's of faces (ask on forums) or if you can export 3D .stl files for when you get more in depth. CamBam can be downloaded online for free (older version) or it can be downloaded with a 40 use unrestricted trial for free. Once the trial runs out you have to pay $150 for it. In my opinion that $150 is a fantastic investment as CamBam is an incredibly diverse program at a great price. Feel free to message me any questions. Hope you enjoy! First attempt at HD too....please tell me if the HD video is any good!
