How to Draw in Photoshop: Sketching Tutorial
Duration: 7:31
Description: Kinda self explanitory. USE 300 NOT 3000 pixels per inch! And use a tablet! I should also like to point out I do NOT endorse torrenting photoshop. A lot of people worked very hard to make the software and the least you can do is pay them copious amounts of cash for the privilege to use it. That and it stops you being plucked from your bed by government goons.
Autodesk Sketchbook Pro car sketching tutorial HD
Duration: 13:13
Description: Hey guys! Welcome to my first sketching tutorial. Here I'm gonna show you how to make a quick key sketch in Autodesk Sketchbook Pro. First we'll begin by roughing the outline of the car. This has to be done quickly as it adds to the sketchy feel. I mirror the canvas to check whether the perspective is all right. Its good to get the line drawing done right first time as it saves a lot of time! Nnow I choose the lines I like most be darkening them. This helps to take the eye away from the uneven lines we used to rough the car.Check the perspective one last time and then save. Now we're gonna get into the thick of things.I make a new layer and take a large airbrush using the same colour that I used to sketch the car out.I use the airbrush on the side and on the far corner of the top surface. This may not seem physically accurate, but thats not the point of a sketch in the first place! I go over until I am satisfied with the gradation. Now we have to block in the darkest areas of the car, namely the grill, headlights, intakes and shadows, on a new layer of course. I reduced the opacity for clarity's sake. Also I want to add effects later which means I need to be able to see the pencil lines beneath. A really quick way to lay on dark areas is to use a big brush and go over the area roughly, then erase the excess colour. I should have done this earlier, but I decided to do it now. Use the ellipse guides to get your wheels right. They are important! Wheels are the major reference ...

I read lots of manga books (probably not the ones some of you may read cause I read those that don't get noticed a lot) and this is just a little tribute to manga, one of my favorite forms of art.
