Think about it, if the program doesn't know where 0,0 is then it could start the program anywhere. What if you had a clamp there? The machine would crash.

Post-Processors can easily be changed in SheetCAM. I have a unique one for my machine because I built my own machine. There are standard ones and customs one. This will give us some confidence when running our CNC Program. Mach 3 is a great CNC Control Program. It takes our G-Code and converts it into Signal for the CNC Controller. The CNC Controller then sends the signals out to either Servo Motors or Stepper Motors. These motors then move the axis to create motion.

Description: homebrewed cnc progress vid. 3 axis toolpath with rexstep RHT34-435 stepper motors I made a vector image in illustrator fed it into the demo version of sheet cam which made the tool cutting path file in g code. the path's actually a bit messy. Loaded it into mach3 and ran it through with the motors attached. cool stuff although i'm running the program about 10 times faster than i should be .
